Simply Living is providing me the opportunity to use my talents and passion in service to the organization and the many amazing people who are committed to it. I am honored to be your new director and continue the stewardship of its resources – and its vision.

This is also YOUR opportunity and opening to engage more deeply in the programs and activities of Simply Living – and to foster your own vision in a supportive environment.

It is an opening to the possibilities of organizational collaboration – strengthening and enhancing endeavors in our community for learning and informed action.

It is an opening for local businesses to partner with Simply Living through our new business membership. Creating a more robust local economy, acknowledging and supporting local entrepreneurship, and focusing on helping each other live well.

It is an opening to health and wellness as we exchange talents and techniques for staying healthy and resilient, and are supportive of each other physically and emotionally – growing towards wholeness.

It is an opening and invitation to walk more lightly on Earth – respecting and honoring the abundance and fragility of what our planet provides.

It is an opening to wider possibilities and enrichment as we explore our connections with the expanding diversity around us. And to share and celebrate what we have together.

This is, in fact, YOUR opening to Connectedness, Collaboration, Compassion, Informed Action, Transformation and Celebration!

Whether you think of Simply Living as a tool shed of shared resources, a hub of collaborative activity, an incubator of transformative initiatives, or as the strong strand of connectivity with the numerous steps towards sustainability – Simply Living invites you to think of ways YOU would like to be engaged in and support Simply Living. Please listen as Jim guides you through a way to manifest your interest, intentions and vision.

I am delighted to step up and serve this organization. The long-standing integrity and hard work of so many is a legacy and a blessing. I know that those before me – and you now – “have my back” in a very real way, and I am grateful. I am also excited to work (and play) with you to build a stronger, more compassionate and resilient community.
