Community Festival

Comfest 2009 "happens" (with huge volunteer effort) at Goodale Park the weekend of June 26-28. Simply Living will again have a booth to meet and greet Festival goers, highlighting our Earth Institute courses and WCRS, our community radio station. We'll also raffle a rain barrel, donated by Little Square Farm owners Chris and Diane Luers.

Can you help us staff our booth? Contact Sheila Fox, bethechange55@hotmail.com, to sign up for a two-hour shift from noon to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. We also need people willing to do 4-hour Clean-up and Security shifts for the Festival. (Volunteers doing these shifts receive a Comfest t-shirt and tokens worth $16 for food and/or drink.)

This annual festival is about community celebration, music and fun, and of special interest are children's activities, multiple music stages featuring eclectic genres, and a solar stage featuring speakers and topics related to sustainable living. For more info, visit comfest.com.
