Menu for the Future – Learn more about your food and the power of your choices!

Do you know where your food came from or how it was grown? The recent passage of State Issue 2 raises many questions about the direction of agriculture and food production in Ohio, including the economic viability of small family farmers to sustain their farming and how our food is grown and produced.

Here’s a great way to explore with others how your food choices connect you with a world that can be more just, humane, and sustainable. Through six discussion sessions, using readings from the Menu for the Future coursebook, you will discover opportunities to more fully live your values and create a more sustainable world.

The six-week course will begin soon. Contact Missy Hintz at missy@simplyliving.org or 447-0296 if you’d like to take the course or for more information. The coursebook cost is $25.

Here’s what people are saying:

I liked that the course took place over several weeks because changing your habits and attitudes about food takes time. It’s a process…a really long process for some of us who have had our habits and attitudes a long time!

Food and health are extremely important to me. Menu for the Future gave me some perspectives to consider. I was excited to learn how making small changes to my practices, choices, and diet could have a huge impact.
