Change Begins with Us

CANCELED DUE TO BAD WEATHER (as of 3 PM 12/9/09)

Join us this Wednesday (December 9) at the monthly Sustainable Upper Arlington meeting as several Simply Living members share paths to creating more sustainable communities.

A panel of members will discuss several Simply Living initiatives, followed by a question-and-answer period.

Becky Allen will share the opportunity and value of Earth Institute discussion courses.

Beal Lowe will share the Transition Central Ohio project, linking people, organizations, businesses, and resources to build a more resilient community.

Lisa Staggenborg will share the Alternative Transportation Project, an educational and action-oriented program to inspire people to use alternative transportation modes, including walking, biking, and taking the bus.

Chuck Lynd will talk about the Simply Living Bookstore, located at the Clintonville Community Market, offering titles related to Simply Living's themes. Chuck will also discuss How to Be an Agent of Change in Your Circle of Influence, a new course to support individuals to become leaders in sustainability work.

An Upper Arlington High School student will share the experience of producing Youth Beat Radio, a Monday evening show on Simply Living's community radio station, WCRS 102.1 and 98.3 FM, that reports on youth trends, perspectives, and activities to improve communities and the environment.

All are welcome!
