Special Film Showing - In Transition 1.0: From Oil Dependence to Local Resilience

Get inspired by people transforming their communities

Tues., Jan. 26 - 7:30pm
The Drexel East, 2254 E. Main St., Bexley

In Transition 1.0 is the first detailed film about the Transition Initiative, filmed by those who know it best and are making it happen in the UK. The Transition Initiative movement is connecting communities around the world who are developing local responses to economic crises, peak oil, and climate change with creativity, imagination, and humor, and rebuilding their local economies and communities. It is positive, solutions focused, viral and fun. The movie shows a practical vision for creating a post-consumer society, where ordinary people make a difference. Organizers from Simply Living will be on hand to share about Transition Central Ohio, our local project aligned with the movement.

This event is co-sponsored by Simply Living, Sierra Club Central Ohio Group, Free Press, and the Columbus International Film Festival. The movie is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
