Highlights of Our 17th Annual Meeting

An overflow crowd of 150 people celebrated Simply Living’s 17th birthday and enjoyed Columbus’ best annual potluck on 2/27 at St. John’s Episcopal Protestant Church. Highlights of the evening included electing this year’s board members, celebrating some of last year’s accomplishments, honoring Missy Hintz for her service as Office Coordinator, and a members’ fair featuring initiatives related to Simply Living’s themes of simplifying our lives, greening the earth, and healing toward wholeness.

Featured Simply Living projects included our Earth Institute and How to Be an Agent of Change courses; our community radio station - WCRS; Active Transportation Project; the Simply Living Bookstore; Transition Central Ohio; and Your Money or Your Life.

We are most grateful for the following board members who continue their board service: Donna Sigl-Davies, Randall Loop, Dan Baer, Gwen Uetrecht, and Jim Kammerud, and for our new board members, Erin Chacey and Stephanie Glass.

Thanks to our many engaged members whose contributions made the evening flow smoothly, including Carol Fisher and Ellen Baumgartner for their organizing efforts, Jenny Floch for her beautifully designed Simply Living program posters, Megan DeLaurentis and Rebecah Freeling for leading the children’s activity, and MeLisa Longo for her creation of the slide show highlighting ’09 accomplishments.
